Why Organic is important
Our program strongly advocates for a plant-based ORGANIC diet. We believe that eating organic food is the best way to insure you stay in the best shape possible. Eating organic has numerous health benefits and may studies have shown that the chemicals and genetic engineering that goes into conventionally grown food can be detrimental to ones health both mentally and physically. We believe you should eat your foods as natural and unaltered as possible - the way your great-grandparents ate their food. Back then cancer and other diseases were less frequent and it was the result of homegrown, fresh, “organic” vegetables.
Five Reasons to Eat Organic:
1. It's healthier for you!
On average, organic food contains higher levels of vitamin C and essential minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron and chromium as well as cancer-fighting antioxidants.
2. It tastes better!
Organic food is pure food. No chemical additives. No GMOs. No pesticides. Many people prefer the taste of organic produce over non-organic because they know that this is how their food is supposed to taste not how big food company’s want it to taste.
3 Eat organic and you avoid chemicals, pesticides, and additives!
Organic food is clean of over 400 chemical and pesticides that are routinely used in conventional farming! No matter how much you clean your produce those chemicals leech into your food, which in turn poison your body! The food additives alone lead to major health problems such as heart disease, osteoporosis, migraines, and ADHD. All this can be avoided simply by eating clean organic produce!
4. No more GMOs!
Genetically modified (GM) crops and ingredients are not allowed under organic standards. Genetically modified foods have not been shown to be safe to eat and may have unpredictable consequences. Eating organic means you need not fear what GMOs will do to your body! More and more research confirms that GMOs are harmful to humans and animals! Research has been done on the organs of rats. They found that by ingesting GMO produce these rats suffered from chronic wasting and sterilized offspring. Further research and time will tell just how bad GMOs truly are, until then eat organic and pan it safe!
5. Higher Standards
Eating certified organic foods mean it is coming from trusted sources. High standards are enforced in order for it to be able to be labels USDA Organic. All organic farms and food companies are inspected at least once a year. This is just one more way to be sure your eating the best thing possible for your health!
